These gooey, buttery, Rice Krispies are such a fun and easy treat to make for kids and adults! Everything is better homemade, and that is especially true of Rice Krispy treats!

Ingredients
•1 cup (2 sticks / 226 g) salted butter
•3 (10 oz) bags mini marshmallows, divided
•2 bags (20 oz) for melting
•1 bag (10 oz) folded in at the end
•2 teaspoons vanilla extract
•8 cups Rice Krispies cereal
Instructions
Line a 9×13-inch baking dish with parchment paper and lightly butter the parchment.
Add the butter to a light-colored skillet or saucepan over medium-high heat. As soon as the butter melts, whisk continuously and quickly. Do not stop stirring. The butter will foam, then begin turning golden with brown specks forming on the bottom. Remove the butter from the heat when it is about one shade lighter than your desired final color, as it will continue cooking from the residual heat in the pan.
Immediately add 2 bags of the mini marshmallows and stir until almost completely melted and smooth.
Stir in the vanilla extract.
Add the Rice Krispies cereal and gently fold until evenly coated.
Let the mixture cool for about 1 minute, then gently fold in the remaining bag of mini marshmallows so they stay mostly whole and create gooey marshmallow pockets throughout the treats.
Transfer the mixture to the prepared pan. Using buttered hands or a buttered spatula, gently press it into an even layer without packing it down too firmly.
Let the treats cool at room temperature for about 1 hour before cutting into 12 large squares.
